1. Who we are

Minecraft-Servers-List.net (“we”, “us”, “the site”) is a public directory of Minecraft Java Edition servers. Questions about this policy: support@minecraft-servers-list.net.

2. Information we collect

Account data: If you register, we store your username, email address, and a hashed password. We may store email verification status.

Server listings: Information you submit about your server (name, IP, port, description, tags, banner image, optional Votifier settings) is stored and displayed publicly on the site.

Votes: When someone votes for a server, we may record the server voted for, date/time, and technical data such as IP address or browser identifiers used to enforce vote limits and prevent abuse.

Contact form: If you use our contact form, we receive your email, subject, and message content.

Technical logs: Our hosting may log IP addresses, user agent, requested URLs, and error data for security, rate limiting, and troubleshooting.

Local storage: Logged-in sessions may use a token stored in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in.

3. How we use information

We use data to operate the directory (display listings, rankings, votes, and tools), authenticate owners, respond to contact messages, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies and third parties

We may use essential cookies or similar technologies for sessions and security. Third-party services may set their own cookies or collect data when you interact with them, including:

Google Fonts (font delivery), X (Twitter) embed/widgets if shown on a page, and outbound links to server owners’ sites or Modrinth. Their policies apply to their services.

5. Sharing

We may share data with service providers who help us host and operate the site (e.g. hosting, email), when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security. Public listing and vote totals are visible to all visitors.

6. Retention

We retain account and listing data while your account or listing exists and as needed for legal, security, or operational purposes. Temporary files (such as short-lived banner-maker uploads) are deleted automatically after their expiry period.

7. Your choices

You may update or delete server listings from your dashboard where available. You may request account deletion or data questions by emailing support@minecraft-servers-list.net.

8. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us so we can remove it.

9. Minecraft affiliation

This site is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft. “Minecraft” is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
